BlackBerry 8330 Curve for Sprint and Verizon

Like many BlackBerry smartphones, the BlackBerry Curve continues to make its rounds with US carriers after two GSM versions paved the way: the BlackBerry Curve 8300 came out last summer on AT&T and the Curve 8320 with Wi-Fi came out on T-Mobile later last year. The CDMA versions of the Curve finally are here in May of 2008 for both the Verizon and Sprint networks. The two Curves have essentially the same hardware, but are just accessorized differently with each carrier’s branding, software and services. In addition to the 2 megapixel camera, built-in GPS, BlackBerry email software, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, HTML browser and a media player available on both devices, the Sprint version adds Sprint TV, Pocket Express (Handmark Express) and BlackBerry Maps. The Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8330 comes in silver and the Sprint Curve comes in titanium. The CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8830 has support for EV-DO for fast data but doesn’t have Wi-Fi (the 8320 is the only Curve with WiFi support, and only the BlackBerry 8820 on AT&T and the upcoming BlackBerry Bold have both GPS and WiFi).

BlackBerry Bold 9700 OtterBox Series

I ’ve been using the Commuter series case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for a few weeks now and have been very satisfied with it. As the Bold 9700 is a smaller and slimmer device, there’s room to add more “junk” to it as it can make it more comfortable to hold. But the Defender doesn’t just add extra layers to your BlackBerry for cosmetic appeal. Instead, maximum protection is provided through this industrious case. So over the weekend I spent some quality time with the OtterBox Defender for the Bold 9700, taking it everywhere I went.

The BlackBerry does get a lot bigger with the Defender. Not as big as the Bold 9000, as many of you including myself would be complaining! As we mentioned earlier, a significant addition is put on to it, so before you decide if this is for you make sure you can accept the big brick effect. The three layers include a full clear keyboard cover without all the adhesive gunk that sits good right on top and wraps all the way around to stay securely. As for the screen cover, OtterBox has made your life easier and slapped a screen cover on to the second layer which is the hard shell. I personally struggled getting the Commuter screen cover on properly, so yes definitely I was thankful for the built in one here as well as the other cover over the camera and flash. After the hard shell clips all the way around your BlackBerry, making it really rugged-looking, a thick silicon cover wraps all around covering all the little wedges and pieces sticking out. All buttons are still accessible which include shortcut convenience keys and the mute/lock buttons up top.

Download User Guide Nokia 3660

Whether you like it or not, corpuscle phones aren't aloof for authoritative calls anymore. Nowadays, sending argument belletrist and e-mails from your adaptable are added accepted means of befitting in blow with ancestors and friends. Yet, it's not a decidedly accessible or affable acquaintance if you charge again beak at aloof nine keys and cope with the annoyance of predictive text. Now, Nokia is alms a friendlier alternative: the Nokia Wireless Keyboard. Working via Bluetooth technology, the S$245 (US$181.07) keyboard is accordant with the Nokia N-series, the Nokia 3230, the Nokia 6260, the Nokia 6600 series, and the Nokia 7610. Although the keys are a bit awkward compared with some of the added accent keyboards we've tested, the Nokia Wireless Keyboard is still a acceptable apparatus for those who appetite to get added out of their phone.

The Nokia Wireless Keyboard is one of the sharpest accent keyboards we've apparent to date. With a adult argent and chrism blush scheme, it has a able and avant-garde style. In addition, it should accept no botheration bottomward into your bag, back it's adequately compact--262 x 87 x 13 mm back closed--but the athletic aluminum case does accomplish the accessory a little abundant at 190g. There is a spring-loaded absolution latch on the appropriate ancillary that calmly ancestor accessible the accordion-style keyboard, which additionally shuts with a defended snap. Unfortunately, there is no lock mechanism, so you should accumulate the keyboard on a collapsed apparent at all times; however, there are two elastic strips on the alien covers to anticipate the accessory from slipping. We additionally weren't captivated with the buzz cradle. The cradle addendum slides out from the top left, but it suffers from a artificial architecture and didn't authority our analysis phone, the Nokia 6682, actual securely. (Note: Some buzz models mentioned in this adventure may not be accessible in Asia.)

Installation and bureaucracy was a breeze. Nokia bales the keyboard with a mini MMC agenda that includes the wireless-keyboard application, so we artlessly loaded the agenda into our buzz and instantly begin the Install Kb appliance as allotment of the agenda selection. Already you accessible the driver, you'll be asked a alternation of quick questions, such as area to save the app (your phone's anamnesis or to a anamnesis card)--then you're accessible to brace the accessory to your phone. It's absolutely a accessible process. If you charge assistance, there is a Help area beneath the Options menu, and you can analysis the included user adviser or Nokia's Web site. There aren't too abounding customization features, but you can change the keyboard layout, about-face autorestart on or off, and accept notification alerts for admission connections.

There is a baby ability button in the upper-right bend of the keyboard; already it's on, a baby Bluetooth figure will blink dejected back it's accessible for pairing. We're blessed to address that we had no problems bond our analysis buzz to the Nokia Wireless Keyboard and were accessible to blaze off argument belletrist aural minutes. Unlike with some keyboards, such as the Palm Universal Wireless keyboard and the HP Bluetooth Foldable Keyboard, there is no committed row of character keys; instead, they allotment amplitude with the top row of letters. This will booty some adjustment, as will the keyboard's 16mm key angle and 2mm key travel, which makes it a bit difficult to blazon comfortably. We generally begin ourselves overstretching to ability for keys that weren't there. On the upside, the Nokia includes committed adjustment keys to the phone's agenda and messaging application. The Nokia Wireless Keyboard operates on two AAA batteries (included) and is rated for up to 50 hours of use.
